Providing Blockchain Opportunities with Antonio from BEN

Antonio shares his journey from a small town in Portugal to becoming Director of Operations at the Blockchain Education Network (BEN), where his mission is to expand crypto education worldwide. His introduction to Bitcoin came out of necessity—struggling with slow, expensive remittance systems while studying in the U.S. That experience sparked a deep curiosity and led to his involvement in the University of Florida’s Bitcoin Club. Through BEN, he attended conferences, networked with early adopters, and gained firsthand exposure to the frontier of decentralized technology.
Now leading operations at BEN, Antonio works with students across the globe to bring blockchain knowledge, career opportunities, and financial empowerment to underserved regions. The focus is on real-world impact—helping students in places like Turkey, Latin America, and East Africa access tools and training to participate in the global crypto economy. With initiatives like BEN Learn and a 10-year goal to educate 10 million people, the mission centers on unlocking opportunity through education. For Antonio, it’s about shifting lives through access, inclusion, and building a future shaped by those who were once excluded from it.
In this podcast episode, Antonio goes over his journey into the blockchain space and what drives him to work at BEN and help students!
